I will have you fill out a hair consultation. After a thorough look (and a lot of communication) I will give you a complete customized regimen to match your unique hair type and goals. After that, I will offer you three cart options so you can find a regimen that fits within your budget.

Once you enroll with me, you will have full control over your future online orders.

Once your products arrive, I will make sure you know how to properly use everything. I will also offer you a new VIP onboarding zoom to go over the basics of your new routine.

I will communicate with you via text and email over the first few months to help get you comfortable with your new routine and make sure you are loving everything you are using.

I will keep track of your hair/scalp transformation progress via photos that you send to me. I’ll inform you about the best sales If you’re ever curious about skincare, body care, or wellness. I’ll check in on you from time to time to make sure you’re still loving your hair and scalp (even years after we get started) - this is NOT one time sale, this is a journey will we take together!

Our products are very problem specific so is important to know that what you start with, is not always what you will stay with a few months later. That is why it is so important to have a beauty bestie on this journey with you.

This is a tricky question because it truly depends on the state of your hair and scalp when you start and what your end goal is. IT also depends on if you start off with the entire custom regimen I recommended or if you split it into to several purchases.

In general, after you’ve been using you’re ENTIRE regimen you may start to see improvements in your:

• frizz by week 4

• silkiness/softness by week 4

• scalp itchiness/dry flakes by month 2

• extending the days in between having to wash by 2-3 months

• hair damage by 4-6 months

• hair growth by 3-6 months depending on the type (as long as you’re also covering what's going on internally)

• reduction of brassiness by month 5-7

  But the crazy thing about using your Monat haircare is that your hair will continuously get better and better year after year! One day you’ll have a full head of hair that’s solely Monat hair (the old hair has been cut off), THAT’S when you’ll be truly amazed!

Shampoo is picked solely on the health of your scalp. Most people are not aware that shampoo is a scalp care product, not a haircare product. Its sole purpose is cleansing your scalp to remove product buildup, sebum (oil), dead skin cells, dirt, etc. Cleansing your hair follicles is vital to promote healthy hair growth as well as nourishing your scalp with amazing ingredients, vitamins, and essential oils.

Monat shampoos even include patented ingredients which have been clinically proven to boost the natural regrowth of hair and promote new hair growth! It’s not unusual for people who have had years of buildup on their scalp (which often promotes hair thinning and scalp inflammation) to experience some extra hair shedding during the first few weeks of using their new high-quality shampoo.

This is because hair strands that should have already fallen out (telogen) were “stuck” in the scalp because of buildup and inflammation. Now they are able to fall out because the buildup is removed and the inflammation has been reduced. Seeing a little extra shedding during your first few weeks, after switching to a high-quality shampoo, may actually be a good sign that your products are doing their job and helping your scalp health!

Switching from a low-quality shampoo to great, high-quality shampoo like Monat can cause some people to notice more hair fall. This isn’t technically more hair shedding occurring, it’s cleansing the scalp of silicones/buildup/gunk that was trapping hair in the follicle that should have already fallen out - so its actually a good sign that your new high-quality shampoo is working!

Some people will also experience extra hair shedding because of the reduction of inflammation on the scalp as well as the production of collagen which helps open the follicle wider in preparation to allow new stronger hair to grow in. Once the follicle is properly cleansed and opened wider, the hair that is already in the resting phase will shed.

This growth, rest and shedding process does not happen to all of the hair at one time. Over the years of built up hair products, environmental deposits, scalp disorders, nutritional deficiencies, the start of DHT production as we age, and even our own overactive sebum production, can all cause an imbalance in the follicle activity and can cause some to be slower producing.

When Monat starts to cleanse and open the follicles, the resting hair will slip out a little quicker, making way for the new growth to come in stronger and stay in the growth period longer. The amount of shedding will be determined by how healthy the scalp and follicles were to begin with.

Some people may feel more oily during their first few weeks of using Monat because they have product buildup that’s (finally) being removed from their pores/follicles. This could be years of buildup coming out at once! Over time, the buildup will be completely removed and the follicle is in a better functioning condition. This will allow the hair to grow quicker and stronger.

The hair follicle is replaced with quality nutrients, healthy oil levels, and Monat’s anti-aging ingredients will extend the life of each hair follicle (anagen/growth phase of hair shedding)! This process will also wake up dormant follicles as long as they are not already dead and the dormant follicles will begin to produce again. Modern Nature also helps the anchoring of the hair in the bulb, which strengthens the hair and keeps it in it's growth period longer.

Some people go through a healing or transition phase when they start Monat. Extra shedding, more oil production, a sticky feeling, or dryness/frizz. So if this happens to you, DO NOT FREAK OUT! It will not last long. These products are cleansing and clarifying years of silicones, waxes, and buildup from your hair. So keep using Monat and let it do it's job but make sure to let me know so we can work through it together.

Give your FULL customized hair and scalp care regimen at least 3 months to start seeing amazing results! Because of its pH, shampoo also makes the outer most layer of your hair strand (the cuticle) “fray open” a bit, leaving it vulnerable to damage and color loss.

Monat shampoo is such great quality. Not only does it cleanse really well, but it has patented ingredients to help protect your hair from this damage and prevents color loss. Conditioner’s pH will “close” your cuticle and condition your hair strand. HAIR SHEDDING = NORMAL

We should be losing 25-100 strands of hair a day! At any given moment, about 90% of the hair on your head is in the anagen/growth phase which lasts 2-6 years, 3% are in the catagen/transitioning phase, and 6-8% are in the telogen/resting then shedding phase! There are three phases (four if you count exogen) of hair shedding.

Naturally, we shed more in the winter. While you are working to remove product buildup from the scalp, this can make the shedding more visual for a few weeks. This is because the hairs that should have already fallen out prior are finally able to...now that your scalp is cleansed of that sticky buildup.

HAIR LOSS = NOT NORMAL

Is internally driven and causes hair to get removed from its regular shedding cycle. If its stress or hormone related, you’ll notice your hair falling out 2-3 months after the stressful event. Shampoo does not cause hair loss.

There are six main causes of hair loss:

• Genetics / hereditary

• Medical conditions and hormonal changes

• Stress and sickness

• Medications

• Environmental

• Tight Hairstyles

It’s important to take transformation photos and videos in good lighting every month or so, even if you don’t feel like you can see the change. This is especially important if hair growth is your goal. Because its sort of like dieting. When you look at yourself in the mirror every day its hard to see your own progress. But when others see you after several months they can see your transformation. Once you look at your transformation photos side by side you’ll see the crazy difference! So take your transformation photos while you can, because there’s no going backwards!

This means you have to protect those fragile locks from future heat damage. So if you are using any sort of heat, make sure to use a lower setting. I typically suggest between 300-350 degrees

It may be because of a few things!

• Make sure you’ve been using ONLY your customized Monat products (that I recommended) for at least three months (including weekly deep scalp treatments)

• If you are using other products from different brands with Monat products (especially non-professional brands), you may be continuously coating your hair with waxes/sulfates. This means your hair never moves out of the cleansing stage, therefore you will not get the results you want.

• Make sure you’re still using the right products. If you haven’t talked to me about changing your bottles in a while, lets chat.

• Our products are problem specific and there are several things that can be factors of you not getting your desired results.

• If the weather has drastically changed in your area since starting your custom haircare, or your hair/scalp has changed for whatever reason (e.g. medication, weather, hair style, color), you could be unsatisfied with your hair because you’re not using the correct Monat bottles anymore. Reach out to me for help!

• Make sure you are using the products correctly. Many people don't realize they need to wash TWICE always.

• You need a very small amount of everything. Using too much can make it hard to wash out properly and it can weigh your hair down.

• Make sure you know the correct order to use the products in.

• Try using two different shampoos instead of one. Some people see an improvement by using two types of shampoo when they wash. The first wash might need to be more of a clarifying shampoo. which would work great to remove oil/buildup. While the second shampoo can target more of your goals (IR Clinical for thickening, Damage Repair for bleach damage, Renew for hydration, etc.). Please reach out to me first before giving this a try.
